Acupuncture is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to regulate the flow of energy, or "Qi," along the meridians over the body. Acupuncture uses fine needles in specific points to restore balance and promote overall wellbeing in animals. Moxa herb or laser can also be used to stimulate acupuncture points.
Acupuncture can be used to manage many health conditions, such as musculoskeletal issues, arthritis, and neurological disorders, providing a gentle, drug-free complementary therapy for animals, promoting their physical and emotional health.

Laser therapy is the non-invasive use of light energy to generate a photo-chemical response in damaged or dysfunctional tissue. Laser creates pain relief, reduces inflammation and accelerates tissue repair. It also stimulates cell growth and improves circulation.
Super pulsed multi radiance lasers use red, infrared, ultraviolet and blue light at 3 wavelengths: 660nm, 875 nm and 905nm. This achieves great tissue saturation with NO increase in thermal temperature (i.e. no tissue damage).
Animals find this therapy very relaxing!

Animal Biomechanical Medicine consultations assess and optimise how your dog or cat moves, recognising that pain and dysfunction often arise from altered biomechanics across the whole body rather than a single issue.
Incorporating chiropractic and osteopathic techniques, treatments can improve mobility, strength and function, reduce pain and stiffness, and enhance quality of life for both acute and chronic conditions.
Treatments are suitable for mobility issues, injuries, post surgery care, disc disease, recovery/maintenance for working & sporting dogs etc.

Canine rehabilitation programs help to restore movement, strength, and function in dogs through targeted therapeutic exercise, manual therapies, and modality-based treatments. It can be used for a wide range of patients, including those recovering from orthopaedic or neurological surgery, managing chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, or requiring performance conditioning and injury prevention.
By addressing pain, muscle atrophy, joint stiffness, and compensatory movement patterns, rehabilitation helps accelerate recovery and optimise functional outcomes after surgery or injury. This results in improved mobility, better limb use, reduced risk of re-injury, and a faster, more complete return to normal activity and quality of life.

Dr Caroline uses both Traditional Chinese Herbs and Western herbs as complementary medicine.
Herbs can be used in treating a number of conditions, such as:
Herbal formulations can be used as a valuable adjunct to chemotherapy/ radiation in palliative care.
